What is the Adult Skills Fund?
York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority now manages the region’s Adult Skills Fund as part of our devolution deal. Through this fund, we support adults to gain the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to progress into meaningful employment or move on to further learning.
Our Adult Skills programme is designed to widen access to learning, strengthen essential and transferable skills, and open up clear pathways to better jobs and higher-level training. We work with local providers, employers and partners to ensure flexible, responsive provision that meets the needs of learners and the region’s economy.
