Waythrough is helping to deliver the Connect to Work programme in York, supporting both employers and individuals to achieve sustainable employment outcomes. We take a person-centred approach, meeting people where they are and focusing on their strengths, goals and circumstances, matching them with the right opportunities for long-term success.

We work closely with employers to understand recruitment needs, connecting them with motivated, work-ready candidates. Support includes pre-screening, skills development and in-work assistance, alongside guidance on creating inclusive workplaces through interview adjustments and ongoing support to strengthen retention.

For individuals, the programme offers tailored, one-to-one support to build skills, improve CVs, grow confidence, explore training opportunities and connect with local employers. The programme is voluntary, flexible, friendly and completely free, focused on helping people secure and sustain meaningful employment.
