What support is available to help me back into employment?

Being out of work can feel overwhelming — but you don’t have to face it alone. Our Work, Health & Skills Interchange brings together personalised support, practical guidance, and funded opportunities designed to help you overcome barriers, build confidence, and take positive steps toward a healthier, more secure future.

It might be worth checking out the Kings Trust.  They offer free support to help develop your skills or start your own business.  Find them here.

You should also consider apprenticeships.  These can be an excellent way to start or develop you career, and are often a great way to ‘get your foot in the door’.  Check our apprenticeships pages here.

The National Careers Service offers advice and guidance if you need help with work and learning. They have qualified and professional local Careers Advisers who can guide you. Check out their website here.

The UK Government also has some good online resources to help you find work.  Check them out here.

If you’re unsure about where to turn or what to do, then a ‘Life Chat’ is well worth considering – find out more by going here
